I am excited to have written the introduction and three chapters in a great new book:
1. Individual Giving: Building A Powerful Constituency
2. Involving Your Board In Sustainability Planning
3. Ethical Considerations in Fundraising
From The Press Release of the National Mentoring Center (NMC):
The National Mentoring Center has released “Sustainability Planning and Resource Development for Youth Mentoring Programs,” a comprehensive guide to planning for, and securing, future funds to keep your mentoring program thriving.
The book features chapters on creating sustainability plans, securing foundation and corporate dollars, conducting fundraising events, launching individual giving campaigns, and involving your board in sustainability, among others.
The chapters are written by some of the top names in the mentoring field, including Dr. Susan Weinberger of the Mentor Consulting Group, Craig Bowman of Common Ground consulting, and former NMC Director Mark Fulop. All of the content and advice is written with youth mentoring programs specifically in mind. It will be an invaluable resource for any mentoring program that is looking for a more sustainable future.
Copies of the book can be downloaded for FREE on the NMC website at:
