Frequent readers know that one of the benefits of working in Serbia is the chance to enjoy really wonderful food!
When I told my friend Dragana that I was going to Nis and Lescovac, she said “Oh Craig, you're going to love those towns, they invented all of the things you love to eat!”
She wasn't kidding!
Both of these south Serbian cities (in Serbia Proper) are known for their kitchens, especially in Lescovac, for the barbecue. I don't know how they do it here in Serbia, but the meats are so incredible. I had a wonderful dinner with my ISC colleagues in Nis and a terrific lunch with them and the guys from People's Parliament in Lescovac.
