My friends gave me a terrific birthday present this year—a wonderful cooking class.
I spent the afternoon today making Patrick O'Connell's Lemon and Black Pepper Risotto and his delicious Scaloppine of Chicken with Grapefruit and Black Peppercorns. We also made Michel Richard's Mesclun and Haricots Verts with Tarragon Chive Vinagrette and Nora Pouillon's Cherry Clafoutis.
The class was a lot of fun. Check out the description and some pictures below.
"Roll up your sleeves, put on your chef's hat and prepare to be turned into a master chef as TTD invites you into the kitchen of one of Washington's greatest chefs for a hands-on cooking class.
This afternoon, we will each learn and take on the basics - from A to Z - of making a meal taken from recipes from Washington's best restaurants. Included are specialties from The Inn at Little Washington, Jaleo, Citronelle, and Restaurant Nora.
From opening up the ingredients to tasting the final product, by the time that this class is done you will be ready to impress your friends, family, coworkers, and anyone else fortunate enough to taste your special new skill."
