Over the next few weeks, a group of friends and I are going to have the adventure of a lifetime. We'll be traveling first in Namibia and then all over South Africa as the 2010 FIFA World Cup begins on June 11th. There are eight of us for most of the trip, but at different points we'll be joined by more friends from around the world.
In addition to seeing world class soccer (football), we're going on a couple of safaris, two of us will be cage diving with great white sharks, most of us will be touring historic Robben Island, and, of course, all of us will be eating and drinking our way across Africa.
I haven't taken a real vacation in more than two years, so I am more than ready! I'm not even taking my laptop!
But, I will be re-starting an old photography hobby and blogging whenever I can. If you'll be at the Cup or have recommendations for us, please drop us a line!
