Common Ground Consulting is pleased to have been selected to design and lead the Sikh American Legal Defense and Education Fund's (SALDEF) inaugural Leadership Development Program which will take place October 7 – October 10, 2011 in Washington, DC. The academy will bring together Sikh American college students and young professionals for a weekend of leadership training, personal development, and networking.
Through an expert team of trainers and speakers, this program will maximize personal potential in order to facilitate community-based social change. Participants will form a diverse and cooperative network of effective leaders and agents of change. All attendees will also attend the SALDEF 15th Anniversary National Gala on October 8, 2011 at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC.
Participants will:
- Create a personal mission statement;
- Develop new skills in public speaking, goal-setting, and peer education;
- Increase awareness of personal culture and identity; and
- Develop a clear understanding of their unique leadership profile.
